Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

Thanks for joining me! My name is Launne and I am from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. I am a biologist by trade and a wannabe world changer by night! Take a look at my ‘about me’ page if you want to know more!

This is my first ever blog post or attempt at making a website.. I am no writer or tech guy by any means, but I find it interesting so I hope that the posts and look of my site will only improve from here!

I have always been super passionate about helping others in my community, and this past year I have become obsessed with the zero waste lifestyle. Not only attempting to reduce my waste, but looking at the things that I buy- where are they made? how are they made? who made them?…. and then starting to realize that I could be doing a lot more things better than I currently was. I was finding many great community initiatives to support and great ideas for how to be more sustainable in our daily lives, so I thought I would make an instagram account. I was nervous to start it at first because I didn’t know what people would think, but then I thought if even one person makes a change for the better because of my account then the page was a success! So the tagline of #domoregood was born and I started an instagram page called @do.more.good and an associated facebook page @do.more.good.yxe . I can’t even begin to describe the happiness I feel when I’m working on it. I have received so many messages of support, it truly means the world to me!

So.. if you’re into changing the world, give my instagram and facebook account a follow. You’ll see what I’m all about. I will use this blog space as a spot where I can write lengthier posts when I want to really ramble about a topic that I think is important.. and hopefully someone other than my husband will read it!

If you’ve made it through to here, thank you for reading and stay tuned! There will be many great things to come!

xoxo
